Fruit of a rare confluence of geology, geography, climate and the extraordinary fungus we call noble rot, Yquem is a miracle of nature, captured through prodigious human spirit and savoir-faire. Across its 400-year history, the estate’s caretakers have refined a philosophy of winemaking at once meticulous and audacious, in a search for perfection so risky that ten entire vintages have been left unbottled since 1910. Even the most generous harvests yield but a solitary glass of Yquem per vine.
