The Bordeaux Wine Route in Graves and Sauternes vibrates all year round to the rhythm of a festive agenda, as exotic as it is inspiring. Visitors are invited to let themselves be carried away by their desires, according to the events and numerous activities offered in the region, for moments of gourmet, oenological, sporting, artistic, historical, bucolic inspiration and many others. An invitation to escape to the territory of Graves and Sauternes!
This tasting workshop is for those who are curious about wine, including novices! It starts with a visit to the vineyards and cellars in the company of a wine technician, to make the link between viticulture, oenology and the glass of wine. Then, a succession of taste experiences awaits you! First, you taste single-varietal wines, then you blend them. You taste them before and after maturing in barrels and finish with an old vintage. An experience rich in content to familiarise yourself with Bordeaux wines!
Château Bardins is an ideal place to discover wine with children! The 10 hectare vineyard offers a nice walk in the form of a treasure hunt. In the middle of the vines but also in the park and in the company of the farm animals. What a pleasure! The wine, from the vineyard to the bottling, is explained in children's words, and the wine tasting for adults is replaced by a taste workshop for young people. A very nice outdoor activity for the whole family :)
After a year rich in cultural events, the Musée des Techniques is actively preparing for next season with the creation of the "recycl'Art" workshop, which aims to artistically enhance everyday packaging. From September 2023 to June 2024, a major exhibition will be on display, constantly enriched, on the theme of recycling luxury and ordinary packaging. These packaging materials will awaken memories of our paper mill's industrial past, which will be brought to life with documents, photos and numerous testimonials from former employees, and whose premises on rue du Port bear witness to its importance. Throughout this new cultural season, these themes will be punctuated by conferences and events open to all.
